pk-china-user Team Pakistan is preparing to represent the country at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, the world’s largest skills competition, with efforts underway to ensure that competitors and experts are fully prepared for both the technical competition and the international experience ahead.
As part of these preparations, a dedicated Pre-Shanghai Preparation and Team-Building Session was held to strengthen participants’ intercultural understanding, practical readiness and team spirit ahead of their departure for Shanghai.
Dill Mohammad Khan of WorldSkills Germany conducted an informative session on intercultural preparation for Shanghai. The session covered practical matters related to arrival and immigration procedures, connectivity and essential applications widely used in China, including WeChat, Alipay, DiDi and Amap.
Participants were also briefed on transportation, accommodation, dining practices, communication and cultural etiquette to help them navigate their stay in China with greater confidence. The session encouraged team members to remain open-minded, respectful and curious while embracing the culture and hospitality of their host country.
While technical excellence remains central to their journey, the preparations are equally focused on developing the confidence, cultural awareness and team spirit required to perform effectively on the international stage. “Our champions stand united, confident and determined as they prepare to represent Pakistan on the world’s biggest skills stage at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026,” the organizers said.
WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 will bring together young skilled professionals and competitors from across the globe to demonstrate their expertise in a wide range of technical and vocational skills. The event will provide Pakistan’s participants with an opportunity to compete, learn and showcase their talent on the international stage.
