Diagnostic block at Pak-China Friendship Hospital inaugurated in Gwadar

A diagnostic block at the Pak-China Friendship Hospital was inaugurated by Planning Minister Ahsan in Gwadar on Monday, officials said.

Hospital head Dr Affan Faiqzada said the facility has provided free care since starting operations in June 2024, treating about 1,100–1,200 patients a day through its outpatient and emergency departments. Services include emergency care, ICU support, laboratories, imaging and operating theatres, he said.

The hospital, financed by the Chinese government under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, is a 150-bed complex spanning about 68 acres. It is operated by the Indus Hospital & Health Network on a non-profit basis.

Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, MNA Haji Malik Shah (verify spelling) and Gwadar Development Authority Director General Moin ur Rehman Khan attended the ceremony.
