Gwadar MoU singed for drinkable water, health facilities and clean environment

In order to ensure potable water, urgent medical facilities and pollution-free environment to the citizens of Gwadar, Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan and Gwadar Municipal Committee (GMC) signed a landmark MoU on January 26.

As per the MoU signed by Gwadar Municipal Committee Chairman Majid Johar and Alkidmat Foundation Balochistan president Abdul Majeed, collaboration and joint work will ease the public daily life. Under the MoU, Alkhidmat Foundation Gwadar will install water filtration plants in various areas. It will also make available the facility of water boring as per the demand.

The MoU also encompasses social welfare projects under which disabled people will be provided wheelchairs. Besides, in connection with the “Green and Clean” project, big and small plants will be provided to all and sundry. Later, GMC handed over a letter to Alkhidmat Foundation requesting it to ensure the provision of Fiber Rescue Boats. The letter said that fishermen often have to lose their lives having gone through critical hardships due to engine breakdowns and heavy storms in the open ocean. If Fiber Rescue boats are ensured, precious lives might be saved, letter added.
