In a significant move to enhance employment prospects for women in Pakistan, TANG has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with She Means Work (SMW), a Pakistani organization committed to empowering women through employment, skills development, and entrepreneurship.
In a statement issued late Friday, TANG said the collaboration seeks to broaden access to quality digital education, particularly in rural and underserved regions, with a strong emphasis on women’s empowerment. The initiative aims to equip women with market-relevant digital skills, enhance their employment prospects, and foster entrepreneurial opportunities.
The agreement was signed by Song Jianying, Head of TANG in Pakistan, and Ms. Lubna Bhayat, Founder of SMW.
Under the partnership, SMW will work with TANG to expand digital learning programs across the country. The initiative is expected to strengthen skill development, facilitate career progression, and enable greater participation—especially by women—in Pakistan’s rapidly growing digital economy.
SMW operates as a Pakistan-based platform focused on connecting women with employment opportunities, professional training, and entrepreneurial support. The organization has cultivated a supportive community that assists mothers returning to the workforce, recent graduates, and persons with disabilities in overcoming employment barriers.
Through its dedicated job portal, SMW links women with verified job opportunities nationwide, helping them secure stable and meaningful employment. In addition, its “Ventureher” program supports women entrepreneurs by offering training, business development assistance, and access to financing, enabling them to expand their businesses and achieve financial independence.
The partnership with TANG is expected to further advance these efforts by widening access to digital education and creating new avenues for employment and entrepreneurship for women across Pakistan.
