The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission, in collaboration with the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Secretariat, has announced the SCO Countries Art Exhibition. Children and young artists from Pakistan are invited to participate by submitting their paintings and artworks.
I. Theme
The SCO places strong emphasis on eco-environmental protection, with green and sustainable development identified as a priority area of cooperation. In recent years, SCO member states have jointly advanced environmental governance and promoted green development principles.
Marking the 25th anniversary of the SCO’s founding in 2026, this year’s exhibition theme is “Green SCO, Bright Future.” Participants are encouraged to illustrate the achievements of the SCO family in promoting low-carbon energy conservation and green lifestyles, highlighting the organization’s momentum in green development and envisioning a sustainable future.
II. Eligibility
Children and young artists aged 5 to 18 years from SCO member countries are eligible to apply.
III. Submission Deadline
Entries will be accepted from now until February 23, 2026.
IV. Artwork Requirements
- All submissions must be original works clearly reflecting the exhibition theme.
- Maximum size: 40 cm × 60 cm, unframed.
- No restrictions on materials or style (e.g., colored pencil, gouache, watercolor, Chinese painting, oil painting, etc.). Submissions must be graphic artworks (calligraphy is excluded).
- The following details must be written on the lower right corner of the back side of each artwork:
- Applicant’s name
- Nationality
- Age
- Title of the artwork
- Size
- Medium/style
- Each participant may submit no more than two artworks.
- Any depiction of national flags or emblems must comply with official standards. Commercial elements are not permitted.
Note: Copyright and ownership of the submitted artworks will belong to the organizers, while authors retain the right of authorship. The organizers reserve the rights to exhibit, tour, research, photograph, film, publish and promote the works. Submission of an artwork implies acceptance of all exhibition requirements.
V. Submission Guidelines
(Participants are advised to follow the official submission procedures provided by the organizers, including packaging, labeling and delivery instructions, as announced by the exhibition committee.)
VI Certificate Awarding
The electronic certificate and a notification of mailing the original artworks will be sent via email to the applicants who pass the primary selection before March 20, 2026 and the exhibition certificate will be awarded to the applicants who are enrolled in“Green SCO, Bright Future” the SCO Countries Art Exhibition of Children Artists after a secondary selection.
