Chinese Green Buses Reach Layyah Under Punjab’s Green Mobility Vision

As part of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Green Mobility Vision, 10 Chinese-made Higer electric buses have arrived in Layyah, marking an important milestone in the district’s journey towards modern, sustainable public transportation. The Punjab government has also announced plans to add five more Higer electric buses to the fleet in the near future.

The newly introduced buses are designed to offer commuters safe, comfortable, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly travel. Their addition is expected to enhance public transport services while contributing to lower carbon emissions.

The same Chinese-made Higer electric buses are already operating in several Punjab cities, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, and Gujranwala, as part of the provincial government’s expanding green transport network. This initiative is aimed at modernizing urban transit systems and promoting the use of clean energy across the province.

With these buses now in Layyah, residents will soon have access to reliable and modern public transportation. The planned addition of five more buses is expected to further strengthen the district’s public transport network.
