Chinese and Pakistani employees working on projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) came together to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival, showcasing cultural harmony and strengthening people-to-people connections.

In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year 2026, staff members took part in a range of festive activities, including experiencing the traditional art of Chinese calligraphy. The event reflected a spirit of unity and friendship, as employees from both countries shared cultural traditions and exchanged warm New Year greetings. “There is no better way to strengthen our bond than by sharing our cultures,” participants remarked, noting that the Spring Festival offered a valuable opportunity to enhance mutual understanding and teamwork.

New Year messages also poured in from employees of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC). Hafiz Naveed Khalid, Business Manager of the Asset and Finance Department at SK Hydro Private Limited, extended his greetings on the occasion.

“In 2025, the SK Hydropower Station marked the first anniversary of its commercial operations. In 2026, we will remain committed to our founding mission, move forward with determination, and continue striving for the high-quality development of CPEC. Happy Year of the Horse to everyone — may we harness its momentum to achieve even greater success,” he said.
