pk-china-user Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong said in a message issued on Monday that 2025 had been an “extraordinary” year for China, as the country completed its 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) and made further progress toward high-quality, innovation-driven development.
He said China’s total economic output had reached an estimated 140 trillion yuan, while highlighting developments in artificial intelligence, robotics, space exploration and new energy vehicles.
Jiang said China’s modernisation efforts were continuing despite uncertainties around the world. He added that Beijing remained committed to multilateralism and reforming global governance, noting that the Global Governance Initiative had received broad international support.
He also highlighted major diplomatic events hosted by China, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Tianjin and the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women.
Jiang welcomed Pakistan’s recent economic stabilisation, reform measures and diplomatic efforts, saying Islamabad’s international engagement had strengthened its standing globally. Describing the two countries as “iron-clad friends” and “all-weather strategic cooperative partners”, he said China welcomed Pakistan’s progress.
He added that high-level exchanges and strategic guidance by the leaders of both countries had further strengthened bilateral relations and helped advance the “China–Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.”
