pk-china-user The General Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee has released a circular announcing the launch of a Party-wide campaign aimed at helping CPC members — particularly officials — develop and uphold a correct understanding of what it means to achieve strong performance in their duties.
According to the circular, the campaign will run from late February through July and will primarily target leadership teams and leading officials at the county and director levels and above, with special focus on principal officials.
The initiative calls for guiding Party organizations at all levels, along with Party members and officials, to generate tangible benefits for the public through concrete actions. It also seeks to correct misconceptions about performance and achievements, ensure the effective implementation of key decisions by the Party Central Committee, and lay a firm groundwork for the launch of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026–2030), contributing to China’s broader modernization efforts.
The document highlights the importance of reinforcing a people-centered approach, encouraging CPC members to take practical steps to address the real needs of the population.
It further emphasizes adopting flexible measures suited to local and sector-specific conditions while cautioning against superficial formalities or symbolic actions in carrying out the campaign.
