More than 10 development schemes for Gwadar have been put forward for possible inclusion in the federal and provincial Public Sector Development Programmes (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2026–27, according to an official from the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA).
The proposed projects cover feasibility studies and construction work related to drainage, sewerage systems and road infrastructure in various parts of the city. They also include the upgradation of Pishukan and Surbandar jetties, coastal tourism and beach development initiatives, establishment of public parks and recreational spaces, residential facilities for doctors at GDA Hospital, and the expansion of Gwadar Cricket Stadium.
The official stated that the proposals were examined during a GDA meeting chaired by Director General Moin ur Rehman Khan on Tuesday. Following the review, the projects will be submitted to the federal and provincial authorities for consideration and approval.
