Shehzad Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s Consul General in Shanghai, has invited Chinese enterprises to invest in five key sectors—agriculture, textiles, renewable energy, communication technology, and consumer goods manufacturing—as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor moves into its 2.0 phase.
Speaking at a forum in Suzhou on April 8, he emphasized the significant contribution of Chinese companies to Pakistan’s economic transformation and long-term development, encouraging further collaboration in priority industries.
He delivered these remarks at the Asia Investment and Development Cooperation Forum, held on the sidelines of the CLNB 2026 11th New Energy Industry Expo at the Suzhou International Expo Centre.
The forum brought together consuls general from five countries—Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia—to discuss regional economic cooperation, investment prospects, and opportunities for multilateral industrial collaboration.
