Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applications for six-month research fellowships in China for students enrolled in MS and PhD programmes at Pakistani universities.
The fellowships are being offered under HEC’s Academic Collaboration under the CPEC Consortium of Universities programme, which aims to strengthen academic cooperation, research collaboration, and institutional linkages between Pakistan and China.
According to HEC, the initiative is designed to enhance the quality of research in Pakistan by providing scholars with opportunities to undertake research or specialized training at laboratories in Chinese universities while collaborating with international researchers.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled as full-time MS or PhD students in Pakistan and have an approved research topic. They are also required to secure an official invitation or acceptance letter from a supervisor at a Chinese host university.
In addition, both the applicant’s Pakistani university and the proposed Chinese host institution must be members of the CPEC Consortium of Universities.
HEC announced that applications opened on July 26 and will remain open until August 14.
